Full Job Description

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain experience of working in a large tertiary critical care department under the mentorship of consultants with a range of tertiary hospital sub specialist interests (including, but not limited to: major trauma; neurology and neurosurgery; cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery; haematology including haemoncology., have set net zero carbon targets of 2040 for our NHS Carbon Footprint and 2045 for our NHS Carbon Footprint Plus. Everyone's contribution is required in order to meet the goals set out in our Green Plan and we encourage all staff to work responsibly, minimising their contributions to the Trust's carbon emissions, waste and pollution wherever possible., Doctors appointed to our ICF posts come with diverse levels of prior experience and expertise. We have a number of rotas in which we can accommodate doctors, ranging from purely 'in facing' rotas, where all work is within the ICU, to 'out facing' roles which involve providing critical care support to patients in the emergency department and wards.

These posts are designed for international graduates who have already gained some experience of working within critical care (or have significant experience working within an acute specialty such as anaesthesia, emergency medicine, acute medicine, respiratory medicine, nephrology or cardiology) and wish to move to the UK for the first time, or to further develop their experience within the UK.
