Full Job Description
As the International Sales Manager - North America, you'll be an integral part of the International Sales Team. As our primary liaison for Macmillan US and PGC Canada, you'll play a key role in managing all facets of our day-to-day interactions with our partners in the region to grow our sales. You will forge strong relationships, align on sales targets and priorities, and support the development of cohesive marketing and publicity campaigns. The role reports into the International Sales Director, Exclusive Markets, and you will be responsible for executing a successful strategy within those regions, driving sales across all imprints. This is an exciting and multifaceted role which has a tangible impact on our overall success as a team.,
- Main sales contact for Macmillan US and our Canadian distributor PGC
- Develop and implement strategy for new titles and backlist to drive ambitious growth
- Work alongside internal and freelance publicity/marketing partners in the US and Canada to help generate and effectively communicate marketing and publicity exposure
- Work closely with the Adult and Children's Rights Teams to clear books for distribution
- Management of International Sales Executive for North America
- Work directly with Scholastic in the US and Canada to generate new projects
- Federal responsibility - attending various publishing meetings such as covers, acquisitions and investment
- Collaborate with the Digital Manager to implement promotions and drive sales with digital retailers in the territory

- Ability to multitask, juggle a busy workload, and stay calm under pressure

- Experience managing, and delivering on, a budget
- Passion for books Desirable skills we'd love you to have:
- Familiarity with the North American book market
- Have used or are familiar with Google Suite (Gmail and Google applications)
- Knowledge of the Pan Macmillan list
