Full Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. Students are required to film content with the Creative Services team around campus to showcase their project work and the School of Digital Arts (SODA) or School of Arts facilities that they use regularly on their course. You will answer questions about your creative practice, your project work and the facilities that you've used to create your work. You will demonstrate the key facilities while giving a commentary to go along with the video. The aim of the content is to:

  • Showcase Manchester Met's campus and subject facilities to prospective international students and give them a sense of where they will be studying.
  • Give prospective international students a window into the student experience on SODA and School of Art courses and showcase examples of the type of projects they might have the chance to undertake on the course.
  • Discuss the projects you are working on, and your thought processes and aspirations for your work to inspire prospective international students.
  • In addition to the videos, we may ask you to write a testimonial detailing your experience as an international student. We will also take an accompanying photo for the testimonial. The video, written testimonials and photography will be used to promote Manchester Met to prospective students, and they may be used on Manchester Met websites, social media, email communications as well as printed materials such as prospectuses, course brochures and other promotional materials. We will provide a 30 min online briefing meeting to explain the requirements of the content in detail. Briefing Date: Wednesday 23 October (2:00pm - 2:30pm)
  • Filming Date: Thursday 24 or Friday 25 October (10:00am - 4:00pm)
