Full Job Description
- Operate trains on international routes, adhering to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor train systems and equipment to detect and resolve any technical issues.
- Communicate with control centres and other train drivers to maintain smooth operations and coordinate schedules.
- Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, ensuring passenger safety.
- Regularly update knowledge of international railway regulations and best practices.
- Have technical understanding that will enable you to fault find and rectify issues where possible.
- Follow important safety rules and regulations and also demonstrate a good level of judgement in applying them.
The right candidate will be pro-active and adept at making decisions with our customers in mind. You'll quickly build trust and respect with your colleagues and customers alike; working with integrity to make train travel more sustainable and enjoyable for everyone., To be a qualified UK Train Driver with three year's train driving experience with an excellent safety record. - To work well on your own as well as enjoying engaging with others, be it our customers or the rest of the Eurostar family
- To communicate and express yourself clearly in English and French, which is desirable, however training would be provided to successful applicants.
- In-depth knowledge of railway operations and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Salary: from £72,970.46 whilst training rising to £92,450.73 for a senior qualified International Train Driver (3 years post final validation), rising periodically in the interim. - Shift Patterns: varied over 24 hours/7 days per week.
- Hours: 35 hours/4 days average per week over the course of a year (5 Days per week while training)., Video interviews W/C October 15th October 2024
- Language assessments W/C Dec 09th December 2024
- Assessment Centres held W/C February 10th 2025
- Psychometric Testing/ Medicals will need to be completed as part of the process
