Full Job Description

The FCA's Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM&CR) applies to Aon from December 2019 and this role is subject to the relevant requirements of the Regime.
The primary aim of SM&CR is to drive individual accountability for all roles within the Financial Services Sector.
Aon must ensure those in senior roles, with the potential to cause significant harm to customers and the business of the firm, are deemed to be fit and proper at all times
and also to ensure everyone working in the sector adheres to a set of Conduct Rules and are held to account where they do not meet the right standards of behaviour.

What the day will look like

Core focus areas: statutory and voluntary global DC and DB retirement and benefit plan design, pension accounting, financing, investment, strategy and ongoing governance, and retirement and benefit issues related to M&A and other business integrations/separations.
Highly leveraged, primarily through building business with current clients and developing business with new clients.
Uses higher order analytical and communication skills to assist multinational organisations manage their retirement plans globally, including global strategy, governance, design and financing
Leads the global retirement & benefit client relationship on multiple large annuity or targeted clients
Manages the client relationship(s), team(s) and assignment(s) in an oversight/review /quality assurance capacity
Communicates effectively in most client situations (Board of Directors, C-Suite, Global HR Lead, Global Finance Lead, etc.)
Leads new business development efforts
Manages a large portion of the client portfolio
Understands market trends and how to recognise these issues in the client situation
Understands all lines of businesses, their offers and points of integration
Build relationships within Aon across the Human Capital solution lines including domestic Wealth, Health and the broader Aon business to deliver a truly Aon United approach to clients and drive growth
Able to lead people or thought leadership initiatives
Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
20 plus years related work experience
15 plus years experience post exams
Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries a plus
Diploma in International Employee Benefits a plus
Exposure to non-retirement global benefits a plus Education : Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other related degree
Previous experience of working in an international retirement/benefits team for another global consulting organisation at a senior level; and/or
Previous experience working in-house for a multinational corporation and being responsible for the design and delivery of regional or global retirement and benefit plans;
Experience working both in and outside of the UK can be beneficial but not a requirement
Proven ability to both sell and deliver international retirement services to multinational corporations and manage complex global relationships.
Strong general knowledge of employer sponsored DC and DB retirement and benefit plans around the world with regard to design, operation, pension accounting, financing and tax

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from one of our Aon offices.
