Full Job Description

As an intern, each student performs work similar to that of a first-year analyst. This work can include preparing tax return work-papers, identifying and researching issues, using software to prepare tax returns, and assisting with various other tasks for the engagement. During busy season, the focus is primarily on the compliance aspect of tax work (specifically tax return preparation), but there may also be opportunities to assist with consulting.

We are looking for candidates who are pursuing a degree in accounting, taxation, or law and who will pursue a CPA qualification or bar certification after graduation. We have accepted candidates for internship positions at various stages of their educational career. Most applicants are typically within one year of completing undergraduate studies; however, we have also had past interns who join us having already completed their postgraduate studies.

We strongly prefer candidates who have a specific interest in tax and who are willing to seriously consider living in the UK to begin their career on a full-time basis following a successful internship. Students that enjoy tackling problems in a team-orientated, highperformance environment will find this opportunity a rewarding experience. We strive for diversity; all are welcome to apply, and we provide sponsorship to work in the UK.

Experience a new perspective and gain valuable real-world experience to widen your horizons whilst developing your professional skill set. We will support your study as you work on a variety of US tax services across different industries.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within Deloitte's market leading US Business Tax group. As an Intern you will gain exposure to an unrivalled client portfolio of multinational companies and a variety of tax work including compliance and consulting projects.

Working in Deloitte's US Business Tax group provides US tax professionals a unique opportunity to live and work in London. We frequently sponsor and relocate individuals to join us. Due to the nature of the skill set required, 90% of the US Business Tax team are expatriates. This has resulted in a close community spirit making the team a fun and supportive work environment.

The internship is a duration of 10 weeks with both a Spring and Summer intake. You will be based in a Deloitte London office, and housing will be provided for the duration of the internship.
