Full Job Description

Thistle Hill Academy has a vacancy for an Intervention Teaching Assistant to support individuals and small groups of children across the school including in our Specialist Resource Provision. Candidates would preferably have ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) qualifications and/or proven experience supporting pupils with ASC
The ideal candidates will be hard-working, flexible and adaptable with good literacy and numeracy skills. Previous experience of working with children with educational needs is desirable but above all, we would like someone with a calm and positive approach to working with children with varying levels of special educational needs. We are fully committed to ensuring that pupils within this area of special need are integrated as fully as possible into our schools and that they feel as highly valued as all other pupils.
The roles are:
+ Term time only working, Monday to Friday

+ KR3 salary approximately £23,337 gross FTE (38 weeks per year + 5 weeks holiday pay) Pro rata £16,042
+ Subject to funding therefore offered as a temporary contract until 31st August 2025 and is subject to annual review
