Are you ready to take your expertise in inventory and stores management to the next level? Join KIMS Hospital, Kent's largest independent hospital, as an Inventory and Stores Control Officer and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Procurement and Supplies Department., In this dynamic position, you'll be at the heart of our fast-paced department, coordinating Goods-In processes, managing stock efficiently, and supporting clinical and non-clinical areas. By ensuring the right products are available at the right time, you'll directly contribute to the exceptional care we provide to our patients.

What You'll Do

As part of our team, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the receipting, accurate recording, and return of inbound and outbound goods, products, and medical implants.

- Supporting the Inventory and Stores Manager in reviewing stock usage and recommending stock levels for clinical areas.

- Overseeing high-value hospital stock located in stores, using electronic systems to manage inventory and generate picking lists.

- Ensuring proper stock rotation using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to prevent wastage.

- Engaging with clinical staff to review stock usage and address any concerns regarding obsolete or redundant items.

- Running reports, expediting outstanding orders, and managing delivery/returns for loaned kits and other medical products.

- Learning and utilizing the hospital's Purchase-to-Pay system for ordering and inventory management.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

- Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

- Have at least 2 years of experience in purchasing, stock, or stores management.

- Are confident using computers and learning new systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Can work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize workloads.

While not essential, experience within a healthcare environment or familiarity with GHX PowerGate, NEXUS, or PowerGate Web systems would be a bonus!, Disability Confident
