Full Job Description

The Investment Banking Associate is an intermediate level position with specific responsibility for origination of Sovereign, Supranational and Agency (SSA) Debt Capital Markets (DCM) transactions. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of DCM services to Citi's SSA clients. The role reports into the Head of Global SSA DCM.,

  • Assist day-to-day origination and execution of SSA DCM transactions
  • Prepare presentation materials, including market updates, pricing updates and pitch materials
  • Contribute to building Citi's franchise by building and maintain client relationships
  • Partner with internal and external parties on transactions, including legal, sales, other banks and compliance
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, Under the Certification Regime, Citi UK regulated entities (Citi entities) must ensure that employees working in certain roles categorised as specified significant harm functions (Certified Roles) are assessed as fit and proper to carry out their role.
