Full Job Description

We are currently looking for an Investment Capability Marketing Manager to join the Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) Marketing team on a permanent basis in London. The Investment Capability Marketing Manager is a new role to the business and will be vitally important in supporting future growth expectations. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Investment Capability Marketing (ICM) Senior Manager in building out a comprehensive Content Strategy for the business, working across the channels and with the Investment Writing team to determine the relevant themes that can support the Client Group. You will be responsible for writing compelling content in conjunction with the Investment Writing team which you will disseminate across channels. You will define capability messaging frameworks, Thought Leadership elements, and work with third parties to obtain broader reach for our content. About the role

  • Working with the ICM Senior Manager to help define the content marketing strategy that builds awareness, deepens familiarity, and drives consideration of our core investment capabilities.
  • Support the Senior Manager in establishing and building a comprehensive content plan that maps into the core business requirements to enable sales.
  • Support the channels by identifying relevant themes and writing compelling articles / content that can be utilised across channels.
  • Work in collaboration with Channel marketing leads to deliver the strategy, positioning and campaign management and activation plans.
  • Working closely with Investment Writing team and heads of investment desks and investment specialists to develop positioning and build core messaging frameworks.
  • Distinctive and compelling storytelling at a capability level considering how this feeds down to specific product promotional collateral.
  • Deliver Insight / Thought Leadership in line with commercial objectives which gives depth and credibility to the brand.
  • Working with Investment Writing, relevant front office and compliance teams to ensure all content is relevant and complied for the correct audience type.
  • Support with writing awards submissions and copywriting for web and social.
  • Ensure content sharing to drive efficiency across both RLAM and Group where able to.

    Excellent writing / editing skills journalistic background is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of the asset management industry including asset class / capabilities knowledge.
  • Good research skills that translate into compelling stories.
  • Good understanding of FCA regulations as they apply to content.
  • Strong, proven knowledge of the asset management competitor landscape to position the business in the right areas.
