Investment Content and Performance Specialist - London / Liverpool

Mercer's Delegated Investment Solutions is looking to enhance its International Client Content and Performance Delivery Group with the addition of an experienced investment performance and reporting professional.

The preferable location for the role holder is Liverpool, however, we will consider other UK locations on a case-by-case basis.

Investment Solutions has a wide range of implemented investment solutions available to clients, as follows :

Investment only solutions (e.g. delegated manager selection and implementation for a single sleeve asset classes)

Implemented consulting solutions this service bundles proactive investment consulting advice with manager selection and implementation

Discretionary portfolio management solutions (including Dynamic de-risking solutions) builds on our implemented consulting solution with the addition of regular dynamic de-risking of assets, cashflow management, and funding level monitoring

What can you expect :

The Performance and Content Specialist will be a member of the Client Content and Performance Group (CCP), the business function dedicated to developing and maintaining a high quality and multi-channel client experience for Mercer's investment solution clients.

The CCP is responsible for the ongoing oversight of the offshore team operations (47 FTEs in Portugal and India) as well as third party vendors such as Eagle, Morningstar and FactSet

In addition, to the day-to-day business activities which the Performance and Content Specialist will be expected to support, there will also be opportunity to be involved in more strategic business projects

We will count on you to :

Liaise closely with other members of the CCP to develop a deep understanding of Mercer's investment solution reporting capabilities

Oversight of the offshore team operations, including monitoring KPIs

Identify areas for improvement of the current process; and work with the offshore team to implement

Act as an escalation point for queries from the offshore team and the business

Maintain and enhance the current error and change management processes

Ensure that checklist and guidelines, used by the offshore team, are fit for purpose

Being aware of any regulatory requirements that govern performance reporting

Working with the offshore team on training plans

Oversight of factsheet production

Co-ordinating day-to-day reporting obligations

The role requires both analytical and project management skills, with responsibilities extending to project support, stakeholder management (such as client management team, portfolio intelligence and management teams), business collaboration and support the execution of the Client Content Target Operating Model (TOM)

The ideal candidate will have excellent project management experience within the Investment environment, great communication (both verbal and written), organisational and relationship skills, ability to problem-solve and strong attention to detail

Experience within an investment environment is essential and in particular, experience with investment performance platforms

We expect the candidate to show ability to work effectively within a small, dynamic team; ability to think critically and to challenge;

and to understand client and business needs
