Full Job Description
A Vacancy at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. An exciting opportunity to join the Pharmacy Purchasing Team team here at UHBW. The Pharmacy Purchasing team act as the first point of contact for the procurement of medicines and the processing of associated invoices across UHBW. We strive to provide the best pharmaceutical care for our patients through safe, timely, cost effective procurement and stock management of medicines. Our key stakeholders include clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, technical services staff, pharmaceutical wholesalers and manufacturer's.,
- Supervise the day-to-day operation of Pharmacy Invoicing in line with Trust policies and Standing Financial Instructions to ensure an auditable, effective, timely and high quality service is provided.
- Respond appropriately to a range of emailed queries regarding invoice payment, credit queries and statement of accounts for the Pharmacy department from all external parties. As well as internal queries from Trust Finance and Auditors.
- Resolves queries relating to invoices, credit notes and statements of account from Suppliers in an accurate and timely manner to minimise delays in payment.
- Actively works to reduce Aged debt to Pharmacy Suppliers.
- Supports the Pharmacy Purchasing Team in all aspects of administration, operational service and system development at UHBW., of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
