Full Job Description

  • The Inward Investment and Banking Specialist (Languages) plays a big part in contributing to the delivery of the Metro Bank brand and business model across Distribution, by way of always providing AMAZEING service to our customers
  • Deal with complex day to day queries regarding identification and structure verification, with a desire to investigate and understand different legal forms of entities in different jurisdictions and how to safely onboard them
  • Liaise on a regular basis with customers directly, including face to face meetings to understand company structure and obtain the correct information
  • Be aware of the capabilities of the Metro Bank Group and identify customer needs so that we can service these needs within our capability
  • Attend to every detail when onboarding our higher risk customers, from ensuring complex structures are verified to identifying financial crime red flags and investigating and reporting as needed
  • Analyse customer's current bank account usage to expertly identify unusual suspicious activity
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of internal regulatory requirements, and be a subject matter expert in Enhanced Due Diligence requirements

    Fluency in English and one or more additional language(s) - preferably German, Dutch, French
  • An understanding of commercial banking and how to open accounts compliantly, with an expert level of knowledge of our different account offerings and services
  • Ability to build relationships with the relevant departments and colleagues you will be interacting with regularly
  • The ability to manage your workload, working on multiple tasks simultaneously with the flexibility to prioritise and adapt
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service, allowing you to build a valuable rapport with our customers, responding rapidly to any communications
