Full Job Description

The role is a remote role, but applicants must be based within Northern Ireland. They will be attached to PSNI office in Belfast subject to vetting and will need to attend the PSNI office when there is a business need.
Candidates will be attached to the Newport office but only required to attend the Newport office quarterly., This is an exciting role, which will join our existing team of four coordinators covering all other UK nations. The role will bring together expertise from all players in the local IP enforcement landscape and will be integral in tackling IP crime and infringement in the UK.
As such, we are looking for a positive individual with a can-do attitude, who can work flexibly and show a commitment to making an impact. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and have the ability to work effectively and build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
• Acting as IPO's lead technical representative in the region, supporting Trading Standards Officers and police with IP cases.
• Raising awareness of IP crime and infringement by partnering with local authorities to provide training and boost IP enforcement efforts in Northern Ireland.
• Championing the importance of IP enforcement and the impact of IP infringement within the local landscape.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with local law enforcement, authorities, and IP rights holders to facilitate intelligence gathering for investigations.
• Serving as the regional point of contact for IP rights holders, fostering partnership between them and investigators.
• Collaborating with other IPO Crime and Infringement coordinators to portion best practices and create a strong regional network.
• Acting as a conduit between IPO and local enforcement agencies to boost investigations, strengthen partnerships, and deliver positive outcomes.
• Coordinating enforcement activities with IPO’s law enforcement and intelligence teams, ensuring alignment with national tasking processes like Organised Crime Group Mapping.
• Attending tasking and coordination meetings to share intelligence, provide updates, and report on investigation outcomes.
• Communicating new initiatives, campaigns, and investigations to Trading Standards and enforcement agencies, acting as a liaison between them and IPO.

Successful candidates must pass a disclosure and barring security check and if successful you must also hold, or be willing to obtain, a higher Security Clearance.
For meaningful checks to be carried out individuals will need to have lived in the UK for a sufficient period of time, depending on the level of clearance, to enable appropriate checks to be carried out and produce a result which provides the required level of assurance. For this role the successful individual will need to have consistently lived in the UK for a minimum 5 years in order to meet the relevant security clearance., When completing your 750 word Personal Statement, please ensure that you cover the following essential criteria:
