An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the CNTW Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Employment Support Service. We provide evidence-based employment support for people experiencing serious mental health difficulties.
This position will be based in the Hexham Community Treatment Team in South West Northumberland, working alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide award-winning employment support as part of community-based care and treatment., We help anyone receiving care and treatment with the Hexham Community Mental Health Treatment Team pursue their employment ambitions in a highly person-centred way using an evidence-based approach that is proven to work.
The main duties of the IPS Employment Specialist role include:
+ Building strong therapeutic relationships with people experiencing serious mental health problems.
+ Building strong professional relationships with colleagues in the multi-disciplinary team.
+ Utilising evidence-based tools like Vocational Profiles to identify and action peoples aspirations.
+ Utilising IT hardware and software to co-ordinate communication and documentation.
+ Managing your time to maximise impact, including travelling in the community, visiting people in their homes and visiting businesses.
We don't expect you:
+ To know the IPS method inside out as we'll train you.
+ Have specific qualifications, as we welcome equivalent experience.
