AXA Health have a fantastic full time permanent opportunity to join the Individual Sales Centre Retention team in Tunbridge Wells. As a Retention Team Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and developing a sales team to optimise renewal and retention opportunities. You'll manage and motivate the team to effectively deliver required sales, quality, and operational targets. So, if you're a dynamic and results-driven individual with have experience in motivating and improving the performance team members then this could be the role for you! At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. Working Hours & Shift Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, rotating shifts Monday to Friday between 8am and 7pm with some Saturday 9am to 1pm shifts. What you'll be doing:
- Driving a culture of high performance and results by leading, developing and motivating the team with 1.1s and coaching.
- Identifying and actioning lapse trends, using a range of data reports to meet customer demands and to develop tailored coaching sessions and plans.
- Identifying any quality and compliance feedback for agents to improve outcomes for our customers.
- Promoting a high level of service to both direct customers and intermediaries.
- Effectively manage lead sources and outbound campaigns using a dialler system.
- Being accountable for agent and team performance, productivity, and QC results.
- Motivating, directing, engaging and improving the team ensuring they are equipped with the skills, knowledge and support to deliver positive results.

- Experience in motivating and managing a team, leading with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and improve performance.
- Ability to promote a balanced view of sales opportunities, profitability, and good customer outcomes.
- Ability to drive engagement with a team including communicating with peers and upwards to senior stakeholders, both verbally and in writing with the ability to influence.
- Awareness and understanding of FCA regulation that governs individual sales activities. e.g. Consumer Duty.
- Sound commercial and financial awareness with the ability to understand insurance risk dynamics. Desirable
- Experience in defining and managing to key performance metrics within a results driven sales environment.
- Previous contact centre management and leadership experience together with knowledge of AXA Health's products and related processes.
- Experience of managing change through people in a rapidly evolving environment. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
- Competitive annual salary of up to £40,000.
