Full Job Description

Team Leadership 1. Provide people leadership/management to a team of application analysts under the supervision of the Manager, Enterprise Applications - Oldcastle Infrastructure. 2. Perform performance reviews and hold regular feedback conversations with direct reports. 3. Ensure team members understand business processes and facilitate work in a timely, efficient manner to meet the needs of our stakeholders. 4. Hold team members accountable to follow all defined processes and procedures; collaborating with them to develop new procedures where needed. 5. Prioritise the creation, storage, and organization of a system and team documentation knowledge base to ensure all solutions delivered are thoroughly understood, documented, and transitioned well to Application Support. 6. Drive the strategy, roadmap, execution and optimization of the enterprise application portfolio with a cloud first, vendor supported philosophy. 7. Partner with key business stakeholders on behalf of the Enterprise Applications team to deliver high quality strategic solutions that enable enterprise process efficiency, visibility, insights and structure. 8. Ensure the team appropriately executes project tollgate processes for all assigned initiatives. 9. Work closely with Data Architects, Technical Developers, and Integration Engineers to ensure integrations between key enterprise applications are designed, developed, and supported appropriately. Applications Analyst 1. Support one or more core business process areas - such as Hire to Retire, Post to Close, Order to Cash, Plan to Produce, Procure to Pay or Lead to Quote - ensuring emphasis on expertise, accountability, and cross functional collaboration. 2. Ensure engagement of all relevant stakeholders and identification of requirements from both a system and process perspective for all assigned requests. 3. Demonstrate expertise with documenting both technical and business process flow diagrams using common toolsets such as Microsoft Visio or Lucid Chart. 4. Drive the functional design, technical design and implementation of solutions for an assigned portfolio of enterprise applications used in a specific process area. 5. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in enterprise applications, implementing any necessary operational or compliance controls. 6. Support and/or drive dashboarding in coordination with our Data & Analytics team to enable timely, action-oriented reporting. 7. Provide system or process solutioning, guidance and final sign-off for specific enhancements or projects assigned. 8. Develop and facilitate a framework for training users on existing and new applications.

This individual will be a hands-on, working leader with strong business acumen, outstanding problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of one or more business process areas, and the ability to manage others. The Applications Manager will assist application analysts with prioritizing work and provide process or technical guidance as needed for activities related to Hydro International. The Applications Manager will leverage business process knowledge and technology acumen to manage software vendor relationships, perform application testing, and troubleshoot user reported issues. He or she partners closely with business stakeholders and collaborates with other Information Technology teams to define and lead projects related to strategic applications, acquisition integration, and enhanced solution delivery. This role is a working leader who, as required, will provide hands on delivery of system configuration, set up, security, and improvements for Hydro International's application environments.   • Considerable experience in the oversight, development, and management of an IT function.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to supervise and manage employees.
  • Extensive knowledge of the operation and deployment of IT solutions to integrate and streamline business systems and processes.
  • Experience in scoping, technical set-up, development, and implementation of integrated IT solutions, particularly on Microsoft CRM & ERP application platforms.
  • Experience with outsourcing, negotiation, and supplier control.
  • Relevant degree typically required, with a recognised IT project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2) preferred.
