Full Job Description

We are now seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Applications Support Analyst to join our Information Technology team. As an Applications Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting the software applications used in our semiconductor wafer manufacturing processes. You will partner with various stakeholders across the business to identify and resolve application issues, provide user support and training, and to ensure the smooth operation of critical systems.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for application-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems reported by end-users


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions


  • Provide technical support for applications used in the semiconductor wafer fab, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Process Control Systems, and Tool Automation


  • Perform software installations, upgrades, and patches, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption to production


  • Develop and maintain application documentation, including user manuals, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides


  • Conduct user training sessions to enhance application knowledge and ensure efficient utilization


  • Monitor application performance and proactively identify potential issues or areas for improvement


  • Participate in the testing and validation of new applications or system enhancements


  • Collaborate with software vendors and internal IT teams to resolve complex technical issues


  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in semiconductor manufacturing applications

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience


  • Proven track record in application support or a related role


  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly understand and troubleshoot complex software applications


  • Solid understanding of database concepts and query languages (e.g., SQL) for data retrieval and analysis, mainly Oracle


  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with end-users and cross-functional teams


  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment


  • Flexibility to work occasional off-hours or weekends for critical system issues

  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing software applications, such as MES (Manufacturing Execution System) or APC (Advanced Process Control) systems


  • Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment.


  • Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and methodologies


  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Shell) for automation and customization
