IT Asset Manager - We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join apremier team of Human Resources Assistants at the 48th Communications Squadron, Royal AirForce (RAF) Lakenheath, United KingdomWe are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in assisting in managing theadministrative and technical aspects of the Information Technology Asset Management andexperience in directing and assisting organizations with the acquisition and/or disposal of excessADP equipment and software as well as serve as the official spokesperson and subject matterexpert for ITAM issues, concerns, and actions.Why RAF Lakenheath:Located in the heart of Suffolk, RAF Lakenheath is home to the 48th Communications Squadron.This base is pivotal in maintaining international security and fostering strong alliances betweenthe US and UK. Our team is dedicated to excellence, innovation, and the highest standards ofoperational readiness., You will be responsible for planning, organize, and manage the activities of the InformationTechnology Asset Management Office, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatoryrequirements, and services meet customer needs. You will monitor and ensure preventativemaintenance on ADP equipment is carried out in accordance with related contracts andapplicable regulations, and implements procedures for reporting, acquiring and disposing ofexcess government owned and leased ADP equipment. You will communicate and coordinateasset management issues with higher headquarters, regulatory agencies, and other installationunits. Also, you will perform duties as Office Automated Equipment contract monitor, andTechnical Representative of the Contracting Office for all ADPE contractual matters . Theappropriate CAT B driver's license is required. Your hours of work will be 39 hours per week ona fixed schedule Mon-Fri where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs andin accordance with the organization's flexible working policies.
For this position you will have knowledge of and experience in asset management operations,procedures and regulations relative to the acquisition, storage, maintenance, and disposition ofADP equipment and associated software; Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management,and ability to plan, organize, mentor, and motivate work center personnel; Knowledge of andexperience in the establishment and maintenance of a system of inventory records, andperforming acquisition and purchasing activities sufficient to assure that best value for ADPequipment has been accomplished. You will show ability to analyze, plan, and adjust workoperations of one or more organizations to meet program requirements and objectives withinavailable resources, and provide customer assistance regarding queries on acquiring,maintaining and/or disposing of accountable ITAM equipment and software; Ability to identify,analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, evaluate optionsconcerning materiel management, and use various office automation software programs, tools,and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents, such as letters,reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs for planning, organizing work, and meetingdeadlines; Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, and skill in tactfullydealing with a diverse serviced population,
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (i.e. Computer Studies) together with a master's degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such degree OR experience.

- OR Specialized experience, You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilianaircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance ofofficial duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, andyou may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriateto the grade and skill set of the incumbent. You must be able to communicate effectively bothorally and in writing. The work may require you to drive a motor vehicle. A valid UK driver'slicense may be required for the position. The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program doesnot participate in regular drug testing, however positions covered by this SCPD may be subjectto drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accidenttesting. Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may includeevenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Overtime and/or emergency overtime may be required butcannot be guaranteed and should not be expected. May be assigned other duties not included inthis position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. Theincumbent must be able to make decisions regarding the management of the ITAM program andhandle situations as they arise. The incumbent must present a pleasant, efficient, andprofessional appearance. Hiring organization will finance training for employee to obtain andmaintain forklift operation certification.All successful applicants will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.
- Competitive salary: the starting salary for this position is £32,389.50 per annum
