Are you an expert in Internal Audit with a background in Financial Services? If you're analytical, resilient under pressure, able to influence at senior management level and demonstrate sound judgement, this could be an excellent development opportunity for you. We're seeking an agile people manager l to join our Group Internal Audit team as an IT Audit Manager. You'll be responsible for managing, planning, executing, and reporting on Internal Audit activity within AXA UK & Ireland in order to provide timely, independent assurance and in doing so, to improve the control culture. You'll have a passion for maintaining a good awareness of significant developments within the financial services industry and technology and able to apply knowledge to internal audit activity. Reporting into our Head of Audit IT, Operations and HR, you'll oversee the completion of all phases of the audit process for assigned multiple concurrent audits to the required Group and IIA standards and in line with the audit plan approved by the AXA UK Audit Committee. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition. What you'll be doing:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of key business, technology, and regulatory requirements for the area of the business covered including emerging risks.
  • Perform risk assessments for the area of the business covered, contributing significantly to the entity's annual internal audit plan.
  • Enhance the skills and capabilities of your direct reports, empowering them, encouraging knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Develop effective relationships with relevant management within the business areas covered.
  • Apply internal audit standards and best practice, ensuring application of GIA (group internal audit) standards/CAPT Methodology during audit reviews.
  • Provide ideas and input to the continuous improvement of GIA processes.
  • Work with management in tracking action plans to assist with timely resolution (obtain periodic updates on remediation progress to support GIA reporting and validating remediation activity).
  • Share expertise with the wider Global Internal Audit family.

  • Considerable experience in one or more of Financial Services, Insurance or Internal Audit/similar control function.
  • Commercial Business experience.
  • Internal audit qualifications are an advantage.
  • Preferable university degree (or equivalent), professional qualifications e.g. CISA, CISM.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
