Full Job Description

The University of Central Lancashire wishes to recruit an IT/AV technician to join our Learning and Technical Resources team. Based at our Preston campus, the role will provide support for a range of IT/AV, multimedia and associated technology enabled approaches to teaching and learning. The prospective candidate will be required to support staff and students in the implementation and use of a range of learning technologies, including web conferencing activities and event support. The successful candidate will be predominantly working with the School of Veterinary Medicine, as such, they will come into contact with animals from time to time.
The role also requires the undertaking of safety checks, equipment inventory checks and updates, as well as providing advice, demonstrations or inductions as required. The successful candidate will be naturally inquisitive and will possess a range of relevant skills and experience, which they will be enthusiastic to apply in a variety of different situations. They will also possess the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative to set priorities and to work co-operatively within a diverse team.

The successful candidate will have A-Levels or equivalent secondary qualification, or relevant industry experience. The ability to adapt knowledge and experience to support staff and students across the wide range of subject disciplines we support would be an advantage., Disability Confident
