IT Engineer

Working hours: 37.5 per week

7.5 hours per day between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday with an hour lunch break.

Shifts to be organised by agreement to ensure that the help desk is staffed and operational in line with the SLA between 9am and 5pm.

We are currently recruiting an IT Engineer, to join our IT Team for a maternity cover until approximately September 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing knowledgeable and courteous first line support resolution, where an issue is allocated to you

  • Attending classrooms, function rooms, offices to rectify issues that can't be rectified remotely

  • Providing support to staff in setting up and operating IT at functions, including on occasion, support out of hours


  • We are looking for someone that has:
  • A good level of English and Maths

  • Continued professional development in IT

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience of completing personal IT projects


  • Ideally we are looking for experience of IT operational service delivery in a highly customer focused environment, gained within an education environment.
