Full Job Description

Richard Huish College has a strong reputation regionally in its offer of a wide range of A level and vocational courses in Taunton and the surrounding areas in Somerset. We are currently seeking a permanent full time IT Helpdesk Technician.

The successful candidate will need to provide first class IT Helpdesk customer service and 1st line IT support services to all of Huish, in person, over the phone, by email and via IT systems. This will involve directly supporting users in the operation of hardware, Microsoft based applications, Apple based applications and other systems, as well as ensuring that systems meet legal requirements and are kept working, coordinating repairs with our suppliers.

Working within a highly skilled team, this role will provide you with opportunities to expand your knowledge in all areas of IT. Additionally, this post will be responsible for the smooth running of the IT Helpdesk and maintaining job-logging systems.

· Salary: £23,585 - £25,276 Point 7-10 on the Support Staff Salary Scale

· Hours: 37 hours a week

· Contract: Full time, permanent, all year round

· Start Date: ASAP
