Full Job Description

We're recruiting for interns to join our IT team at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey. As an IT Intern, you will develop your skills in our data engineering or cyber security team. Please note this position is on-site 5 days a week at the McLaren Technology Centre, to best facilitate your learning and development during the scheme. The closing date for applications is Friday, 15th November 2024. Virtual first stage interviews will take place in early January 2025, with the second stage of the process being on-site assessment centres in late January/early February. What You'll Do As an IT Intern, you will be gaining valuable experience within our IT team on a one-year programme. This will include working in these key areas:

  • You will assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines. You will work with large datasets to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data, collaborate with data analysts to support data-driven decision-making, and ensure data quality and integrity through regular audits and checks.
  • You will monitor and analyse security alerts and incidents, assist in the implementation of security policies and procedures, conduct vulnerability assessments, and support the development and maintenance of security awareness programs.
  • What You'll Bring You must be studying a relevant IT degree. You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with technical team members, and business colleagues. The customer is at the heart of everything we do. You should possess a customer-centric mindset and be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. You must also bring a passion for cars, and a desire to work at the cutting edge of the automotive industry within our IT business area. What We'll Do for You
