About our Internship programmeOur internship provides current students with an exciting paid learning opportunity in the field of Business and Information Systems. Here you will put the theory you have learnt in an academic environment into practical application in the workplace. During your placement you will gain an appreciation of one or more business/ technology/ change management processes- you will also learn about wider business processes, and it will give you experience in project management, business analysis amongst other areas. It is also a placement where you'll develop skills in interacting with business stakeholders as well.During your time with us you will have regular progress reviews providing you with invaluable developmental feedback from your Line Manager, Programme Manager, and the University (if applicable). Your mission / purpose:Your primary focus will be to provide support to your line manager in embedding change and new ways of working within our Vacuum Technique Information Systems (VTIS) department from June to September 2024 (or for 6 months if applicable). This role is part of the IS Enterprise Direction team and involves working closely with key stakeholders to execute the change and communications plan for IS and the transition to our new operating model.Areas of responsibilityAssist in implementing the change and communications plan to support the transformation and the transition to the new operating modelCollaborate with internal and external teams and stakeholders to refine the change and communications plan regularlyEngage with key stakeholders across VTIS and the business to support the overall change and communication planAssist in drafting communications using various channels, such as our SharePoint intranet site, emails, and PowerPoint presentationsWork closely with the Transformation Office to ensure communication materials are user-friendly and meet the needs of all employeesImplement new social media channels for VTIS, enhancing our current online presenceTake ownership and responsibility for your own learning and developmentThis internship provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience in change management and communications within a dynamic organisation undergoing transformation.
