Full Job Description

We are looking for a Product Manager to work within our Merchandising and Pricing team within the IT Product capability, to deliver IT capabilities which support the business goals of the Merchandising and Planning corporate functions. You will work in partnership with business stakeholders and technology teams to define and deliver against the merchandising, pricing and product planning technology roadmaps, identifying and implementing solutions to meet the needs of the evolving business. This role is reporting to the Senior Product Manager, Merchandising and Pricing., Vision, Strategy, Roadmap

  • Understand Burberry's strategic vision within the business' merchandising and planning functions and align an IT roadmap to deliver to this strategy

  • Ability to manage scope of the delivery and ensure we are delivering business value.


  • Evangelism, Awareness, Alignment
  • Have an understanding of the Merchandising and Planning processes and activities

  • Drive solution development in line with the business strategy

  • Ensure business stakeholders are aware of the roadmap and ensure that there is alignment and buy in

  • Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences


  • Minimal Product, Test & Learn
  • Manage delivery of a solution in order to realise prioritised business requirements

  • Provide customer and business context to the delivery teams, empowering them explore creative solutions, whilst simultaneously, ensuring the team delivers against scope and time commitments

  • Strong analytical background, and ability to deliver value to end users


  • Insight, Competitors, Market, Trends
  • Identify new opportunities to enhance current operating processes and implement strategies to address those opportunities

  • Have awareness of technology landscape, Business stakeholders

  • Business Units within our Product, Supply Chain and wider business functions

  • Other IT Towers (Data, Information, Analytics, Infrastructure etc.)

  • Software Providers / Vendors

  • System Integrators and consultancy partners

    Must be able to communicate effectively in both technical and business settings.

  • Self-motivated, creative, passionate and a team player

  • Able to acclimate into a fast-paced, dynamic environment, Experience with Planning and Merchandising processes and activities

  • Experience working with design, engineering teams, vendors, and offshore development to deliver end to end products

  • Experience managing small to medium sized teams

  • Experience delivering IT projects on key vendor platforms (e.g. Board)


  • QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
  • Must have excellent written and communication skills and be extremely detail oriented

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to logically analyse complex requirements or processes

  • BCS Certification in Business Analysis (or comparable) ideal but not required
