Full Job Description

  • Lead the sourcing lifecycle in collaboration with technical and subject matter experts. This includes extensive requirements gathering across RSK business units, tendering, issuing Invitations to Tender (ITT)/Request for Quotation (RFQ), completing reconciliation and recommendation reports, awarding contracts, and managing the performance of those contracts.

  • Conduct commercial negotiations and manage supplier relationships to achieve cost savings, service improvements, sustainability goals, supplier innovation, and collaboration. You will be comfortable generating performance metrics, in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of our agreements.

  • Develop and produce monthly information reporting pack for senior leadership team review.

  • Develop and maintain commercial relationships with both new and existing suppliers to ensure contracts are competitively priced, legally sound, and adhere to risk and governance standards. This involves negotiating contract terms to secure the best overall position for RSK, focusing on value for money, discounts, flexibility, and alignment with our IT strategy. Additionally, identify, manage, and mitigate commercial and legislative risks such as Data Security and GDPR, and evaluate the supplier lifecycle from initiation to negotiating satisfactory exit procedures. Ensure all negotiation outcomes are agreed upon with the IT Director and Group Head of Procurement, and that service level expectations with suppliers are established, monitored, and exceeded.

  • Lead vendor audits with support from subject matter experts to understand supplier capabilities and ensure compliance with RSK's policies and procedures prior to awarding purchase orders.

  • Support the business development and tendering teams with preparing bid submissions.

    MCIPS or willing to work towards.

  • Practical, in-depth knowledge of IT service agreements, licensing agreements and hardware sustainable procurement.

  • Construction software experience (Bentley, Autodesk/CAD, ESRI, GINT)

  • In-depth and proven knowledge of IT Category Management approaches.

  • Demonstrable track record of delivering bottom-line benefits.

  • Some project management experience desirable.

  • Experience implementing sustainable/green procurement initiatives in the IT/Digital category would be desirable.

    This is a {Advertised Permanent / Temporary}, {Advertised Full Time / Part Time} vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

    The Vacancy

    This is an exciting new role within RSK and will require a hands on, proactive approach to the procurement of IT licensing and software globally.

    You will develop and execute strategic IT procurement category plans aligned with the Group Growth Strategy, the Group Procurement Strategy, the Group Sustainability Strategy and our various digital roadmaps.

    The role is full time (40 hrs pw) and will be hybrid which you will be required to travel to the Group Head Office in Helsby, Cheshire at least once a week.,
