Full Job Description

Based within the CMT National Operations team, this role provides a unique opportunity for the right person to lead a variety of IT projects on behalf of the CMT function. Working with NHSBT and external colleagues to design, evaluate and implement novel IT systems in support of stem cell services and/or the manufacturing of cell and gene therapies. Supporting CMT laboratories to achieve and maintain data integrity compliance, including national oversight of data integrity assessments. Building strong relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including IT experts, scientists, project managers and administrators will be crucial to your success. Working independently, including travelling to NHSBT sites across England., In this role you will be the CMT operational lead for IT related projects in support of stem cell services and/or the manufacturing of cell and gene therapies. Your responsibilities include: Working with systems and process experts to gather data from a variety of sources to produce process maps and provide relevant evidence to inform the development and implementation of novel IT systems. Communicating highly complex concepts and ideas verbally and in writing to specialists and non-specialists in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner. Working with systems and process experts, and all other stakeholders to ensure CMT is compliant with NHSBT data integrity requirements. Producing regular complex reports and trend analysis and information for review and present to CMT senior management team. Supporting NHSBT and external colleagues with the development, evaluation, and implementation of new IT systems within CMT. Leading and contributing to a variety of activities and meetings for
the function. On occasions, you will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
