Full Job Description

  • Engaging with customers to understand their current environment (audit & results) · This may include on-site, remote and extended working hours

  • Taking their configurations and populating the knowledge base

  • Implementing new technologies from our approved portfolio into their base

  • Re-configuring existing technologies to meet at least our minimum supported configuration

  • Assisting with presales scoping and quoting


    • Early Life Support
  • 1st Line support and incident resolution using the tools provided & experience

  • 2nd Line support & manufacturer engagement

  • 3rd Party incident management - managing collaborative partners to resolution

  • Escalating major incidents, major outages, problems, skills gaps & 3rd party missed SLAs

  • Updating the knowledge base and handing over to Support

  • Updating the ticketing system with accurate data, It is not expected that the candidate has any of these certifications. The candidate must be capable of appreciating the content and be capable of passing the exam following suitable training if required. It will be advantageous if the candidate does have one or more of the following:

  • MS-900 - Microsoft 365 Fundamentals

  • AZ-900 - Microsoft Azure Fundaments

  • PL-900 - Power Platform Fundamentals

  • SC-900 - SCI Fundamentals

  • MD-100 or MD101 - Windows Client Certification of Managing Modern Desktops.

  • MS-500 - Microsoft 365 Security Administration.

  • MS-203 - Microsoft 365 Messaging

  • MS-700 - Managing Microsoft Teams

  • SC-300 - Microsoft Identity and Access Management

  • MS-720: Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer

  • ECMS1 - Engineering Cisco Meraki Solutions Part 1

  • ECMS2 - Engineering Cisco Meraki Solutions Part 2

  • CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional

  • COMPTIA - CompTIA Security+

  • ITIL® 4 Foundation - IT Service Management Certification

  • AZ-801 - Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

  • AZ-104 - Azure Administrator AssociateNone of the above are a pre-requisite. These certifications are indicative of the career paths available to the right individuals.

    The candidate will need to have a good appreciation of all factors with a core understanding in all of the below technologies:

  • Microsoft 365;

  • Meraki WiFi;

  • Networks, routing & security;

  • HP desktops & laptops and other associated vendors


    • Full training in specific technologies, industry methodologies, tools and service will be provided as and when appropriate. Other industry recognised qualifications and certifications will be provided when appropriate. The candidate will accept that some personal time will be required to complete personal study.

    Personal Specifications

    You will already have experience and competence in first line IT support, possessing great interpersonal skills. Ideally you will possess a thoughtful 'can-do' attitude with a thirst for learning in both technologies and processes. Candidates must have the right to work in UK and hold a full UK driving licence.,
  • 1+ year experience in IT Support Environment

  • General networking skills - WLAN, WAN, LAN configuration and troubleshooting

  • Windows Desktop Support and relevant technologies - Directory services, DHCP, DNS

  • Support of the core & common components of M365

  • Knowledge of Azure Active Directory and Office365

  • Install, configure, and repair software and equipment, including laptops, desktops, phones, and cloud services

  • Experience of a service management toolset used for remote monitoring and management, incident resolution, knowledge management and/or contract & asset management
