Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Security Engineer / Cyber Security Analyst to join our high performing IT services team. Acting as a subject matter expert in information security you will work closely with IT colleagues and systems owners/ expert users across the University to plan, deliver and support a range of security related projects. Promoting IT security awareness and best practice you will also advise on IT security policies and procedures to maintain compliance standards and certifications.

Be an experienced and skilled IT professional
Have significant experience of security technologies, operating systems, systems administration and scripting languages
Ideally, hold a recognised IT security qualification
Demonstrate initiative and have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Be able to work in a small team and independently to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
Have a deep curiosity of all things technical, with capability for technical discovery and detailed investigation and assessment of IT security scenarios., Disability Confident
