Full Job Description

Working with the operational team to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Performing ongoing technical duties as required for the development of our services and the operation of our information security management system (ISMS).,

  • Provide a technical escalation point for troubleshooting and solving incidents wherever possible.

  • Contribute to technical work and activities as required. This may include testing and preparing regular application releases (every two weeks), delivering tasks for small changes, projects and other IT activities.

  • Perform regular technical and non-technical tasks on the ISMS as required.

  • Contribute to the configuration and review of security tools

  • Participate in audits, checks and access reviews

  • Contribute to the development of processes and build configuration

  • Correspond with the operations team and members of IT & Security to make sure they are kept informed with regular updates on the status of work.

  • Ensure processes are documented and training as required.

  • Maintain security training systems

  • Promote a culture of security and advocate IT best practices

  • Make sure work is correctly logged to monitor workload across the team, and provide additional support where necessary.

  • Help identify common or emerging issues and support with identifying root causes to continually improve the service.

  • Follow, develop and suggest improvements to processes and documentation on how to respond to queries.

  • Ensure information is kept confidential, handled sensitively, and retained in accordance with our policies.

    Good skills in managing and configuring devices and software

  • Experience of working in an IT team

  • Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS preferred) and database concepts

  • Understands the important of industry best practices and excellent IT hygiene

  • Exposure to ITIL or knowledge of ITIL Foundation

  • Knowledge of GDPR (main concepts and principles)

  • Knowledge of security, CE+, ISO 27001, NCSC guidelines

  • Knowledge of domains, DNS and basic networks and firewalls

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, JIRA, Mac/iOS, Chromebooks, Google Workspace
