Full Job Description

A rare opportunity has arisen , to appoint a permanent IT Support Analyst within our dynamic genomics IT team.
In liaison with the wider Trust IT department, the genomics IT team are responsible for the installation and maintenance of the IT estate within our busy, progressive genomics laboratory.
As the successful candidate, you will enjoy a varied role within this team including administering a range of specialist IT systems and supporting staff with their use, problem resolution, routine service provision and maintenance tasks, and assisting with the preparation of audits for internal and external consumption. The role will be flexible in scope with potential for project or development work depending on your experience and aptitude., The post holder will be a key member of the Pathology IT Team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and will be required to work closely with application users and service providers to deliver frontline system support, be involved in application development, improve data quality and train users on pathology applications and some of the key role responsibilities include :-
a) Monitor and resolve issues within systems
b) Install end-user systems client software as required

Applicants should have experience in IT service support, knowledge of one or more computer system(s), hardware or software, acquired through a diploma or equivalent experience/qualification, advanced European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent knowledge., a) Great problem-solving skills
b) Diploma in Information Management or IT, or equivalent knowledge/experience.
c) Prioritisation skills
