Full Job Description

  • Responsible for the resolution of tickets logged with the Support Team within agreed SLA's
  • Managing requests into the Support Team mailboxes
  • Provide on-site support to user walk up's as well as desk side support
  • Provide on-site Audio Visual support for meeting/conference rooms when required
  • Ensure IT Support Manual is updated with any new documentation created and those existing maintained to reflect any changes
  • Maintain the Support Desk Laptop Pool ensuring all are fit for purpose and updated regularly with windows updates
  • Help support the team with delivery of new technologies

    Minimum of 5 GCSEs (4-9) including Maths and English
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer focus
  • Basic understanding of computers and common software (eg Microsoft Office and O365)
  • Desirable:
  • 1st/2nd line IT service desk experience
  • Any IT related education or certification eg CompTia

    This is an entry level position where all applicable BAE Systems specific training will be provided, reporting to the IT Support Team Leader within a diverse IT environment. You will gain extensive experience over the various supported IT hardware and systems and be given the opportunity to develop these skills through on-the-job learning. As part of a team who act as the first point of contact for all issues, you will work directly with internal business customers at all levels. This will involve face to face communications with end users, as well as tracking and chasing calls with 3rd party IT providers ensuring tickets are tracked through to conclusion.
