Full Job Description

Our IT department assist the wider office with technical queries and building systems and platforms require for the successful maintenance and evolution of the business. We are looking to add an Infrastructure Engineer to this busy team.

As an Infrastructure Engineer your responsibilities will include, although are not limited to:

  • Mentor Junior team members

  • Perform IT Support services to users onsite & remotely

  • Use of a ticketing system to manage support queries

  • Maintain documentation and comply with rules and guidelines of the organisation

  • Maintain Comms & IT standards

  • Adherence to change control procedures

  • Systems administration ownership

  • Provide end user & server support

    The ideal candidate will possess 3 or more years of IT Experience (Desktop Support, Systems


  • build, configuration & Administration)

  • End User Support / Desktop Support: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, desktop, and mobile device troubleshooting

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to balance projects, support tickets, and Research & Development initiatives

  • Significant experience with Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Azure AD)

  • Systems Administration: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Platforms as well as


  • Active Directory, Group Policy, server, and network hardware
  • Support of Sophos or similar product for endpoint threat management

  • Understanding of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V

  • Understanding of networking: TCP/IP, LAN / DMZ / WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching and Firewalls

  • Exposure to/ability to support workloads On-Premise server infrastructure

  • Implementation and Support of Enterprise networking equipment

  • Excellent PowerShell scripting an advantage

  • Experience designing, implementing and maintaining Modern Desktop builds and principles (Intune, Autopilot, ManageEngine OS Deploy, Ghost Solution Suite or other)

  • Experience of implementing fully automated "Zero Touch" Windows OS imaging and application deployment

  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft licensing scheme & plans

  • High level knowledge, understanding of security implementation, administration, and

  • continual improvement of the security solutions identified in the organization's security programme

  • Experience managing and maintaining Domain Controllers On-Prem and in Azure


  • Desirable Qualities:
  • Hardworking with unmatched drive for results

  • Significant experience in an MSP environment, particularly utilizing the Datto RMM suite of products


  • Significant experience with Microsoft Azure

  • Excellent experience with Exchange Online Protection (EOP)

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication

  • Experience with and ability to implement, deploy and manage AzureAD Virtual Machines

  • Experience with cybersecurity solutions such as Sophos Central & managing Firewalls

  • Experience with Barracuda or other mail security gateway solutions

  • Experience with Datto Backup & disaster recovery solutions

  • More than basic understanding of Storage and Virtualization platforms

  • Scripting / Automation Framework knowledge: PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code tools

  • Advanced understanding of high-level infrastructure design

  • Ability to review, recommend, and implement new and emerging technologies to be adopted into our technology stack

  • Contribute to new and existing procedures, wiki articles, and build standards & other IT documentation

  • Proven background in Routing and Switching an advantage
