IT Support Engineer

We have a fantastic opportunity available to join our IT team in Hindley Green, Wigan as an IT Support Engineer where you will provide technical support for users of the Product Care Groups IT systems. The successful IT Support Engineer will need to be friendly and approachable with a passion for technology, excellent time management and prioritisation skills and the ability to multi-task.,

• Monitor, maintain, and support all PC Group hardware, software and peripherals


• Resolve IT related faults, as part of IT team


• Set-up and configure new computers, laptops, other IT equipment and business authorised software in-line with company policy on access and security.


• Support with the set up and maintenance of all telecommunication systems to ensure they are functioning effectively and efficiently in-line with SOP's.


• Contribute towards the completion of IT Departmental projects and achievement of IT Departmental objectives


• Participate in audits and security & performance reviews as requested by the Head of IT


• Undertake miscellaneous activities/project work deemed appropriate for the role of IT Support Engineer to support the efficient operation of The Group.
  
  GCSE's - 5 (English and Maths A-C grade included)


• Relevant IT qualification


• IT Certifications (desirable) such as Microsoft, CompTIA, AWS


• Experience or training on software testing and implementation


• An understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration


• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP


• Microsoft Windows 10


• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office


• Some experience of supporting IT users is essential


The following skills / knowledge are also desirable;

• Microsoft Windows Server management


• macOS knowledge


• Mobile device support iOS and Android


• Microsoft Windows 11 (desirable)
