Full Job Description

Duties: [will include:]

  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Answering and logging incoming calls and chat support requests
  • Maintaining detailed, accurate notes and time records
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues until resolution or escalation
  • Referencing and updating client documentation and user guides
  • Liaising with 3rd party software vendors

    We're looking for someone with a passion for IT and technology, who is enthusiastic, motivated, and customer service focused to join us as an apprentice., Competent at using and troubleshooting Office 365
  • Windows Server and Windows 10 troubleshooting
  • Peripheral support - printers & scanners etc.
  • Experience with security products
  • Detailed ticket logging
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts including routers This is an excellent opportunity for a 1st Line Engineer to develop their skills and knowledge with exposure to 2nd and 3rd line issues
  • Personal Qualities:
  • Team player and eager to learn / A high work ethic
  • Good communication skills
  • Good literacy skills
  • Experience of working within a Managed Service Provider would be highly beneficial, but is not essential.,
  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications., Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship Programme, the opportunity is there to join Sona IT as a full time staff member.
