Full Job Description

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (banking 30 minutes per week to be used towards the shut down between Christmas and New Year)
Working location - mostly on-site in the office with occasional home working.

As the IT Support Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of continual improvement of the Councils IT Support function and team. You will be responsible for desktop and application migration projects, effectively utilising resource within the team and procuring external services where required. You will also manage the day to day running of the support team and service desk and implement processes where possible to improve our service and solutions for our customers. You will also be a technical lead for the support services team.

To be successful in this role you will require experience in leading a support team, supporting and managing Microsoft applications and Azure/Entra administration, and be able to lead in migration of services and applications to Cloud hosted and SaaS solutions where possible. You will be responsible for our ITSM and ticketing system and make improvements where necessary.

Reporting directly to the ICT and Digital Services Manager, your keen organisation skills and utilisation of our ITSM system will allow you to capture detailed records and insight. You will also be responsible for development and appraisals of support team who will directly report to you.

The Council is currently within a migration to Cloud and this role will be responsible and ensure best practice and innovation is the focal point of delivering these services to our staff. The role will be primarily on-site within the office, with occasional home working. There is an opportunity to study/learn within this post and overtime will be available where needed to deliver projects and minimise disruption to services.
