IT Support Technician

Due to the continued growth at CIL, an exciting opportunity has become available to join us as an IT Support Technician. As an IT Support Technician, you will be an integral part of the IT support function across all Custom Interconnect Sites. You will be assisting the IT Manager and other IT staff to provide high-quality support to internal customers throughout the business.

With strong, effective communication skills, you will be friendly and approachable with a passion for IT and a genuine concern for quality, striving to provide high-level support as both an individual and team member. Whilst experience in providing IT support is ideal, we are keen to consider applicants with an aptitude for IT and looking for their first role in computing as a Junior IT Technician.,

• Educated to GCSE or equivalent (including Maths & English)
• Excellent communication and team-work skills
• Demonstrable skills in Windows 11 installation and support.
• Understanding of LAN and Wi-Fi networks.
• Setup and management of Printers.
• Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Setup and support of iOS and/or Android mobiles.
It would be desirable to have the following:
• Previous support experience within a IT Help Desk
• Management of Microsoft 365/Azure environments
• Management of on-premise Active Directory environments
• Understanding of TCP/IP, firewall and router configuration
• Supporting business software such as accounting or ERP/MRP systems
• Data analysis using Microsoft Excel and/or a SQL environment
• A professional qualification in IT or a relevant subject
