Full Job Description

The IT Systems Administrator is a vital role in St Elizabeths IT department. This role supports the IT Manager and IT team in maintaining, configuring and ensuring the reliable operation of all things IT across the charity. Working as part of a small and friendly team, no two days will be the same. You will be involved in a diverse range of responsibilities including project based work, upgrading existing systems along with identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.

You will have substantial professional experience in IT Support, ideally within a Systems Administrator role or similar. The IT team provide support to both employees and learners, therefore you will require a positive attitude, excellent communication skills as well as empathy and understanding of users perspectives and capabilities. In addition to the above, we are looking for someone who has strong technical expertise but at the same time can translate IT nuisances into a language that all can understand.

You will hold a degree in IT or similar along with a valid UK driving licence with access to a car as you may be required on occasion to troubleshoot and install hardware at our external locations across Herts and Essex. Mileage will be paid!
