Full Job Description
As a Data and Information Governance Auditor, you will be required to interrogate relevant IT systems to carry out transactional validation auditing ensuring lawful/appropriate usage of systems in line with the Force's code of connection obligations along with other force information to conduct audits as required by the Head of Data and Information Management.
You will engage with districts and departments across the Force, interrogating systems and other force information to carry out audits to measure the compliance in line with Data Protection Legislation and information management policy, highlighting good practice and areas for improvement.
In this role you will be a point of contact for queries and advice in relation to data and information auditing. Keep up to date with audit best practice, methodologies, and technologies, attending local and regional meetings, when appropriate and conduct benchmarking activities with other forces and organisations in the area of information management audits in order to identify best practice.
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate in your Expression of interest knowledge of Data Protection legislation and audit methodologies, along with the ability to interpret, present and communicate information and findings through written reports.
