Full Job Description

  • Lead on regulatory compliance, accreditation, registration or licensure with HTA and JACIE.

  • Oversee team members to deliver requirements for JACIE and HTA compliance.

  • Analyse complex information from complaints, claims, incident investigations (including serious incident investigations), audits and working with performance and contracting colleagues to establish appropriate action plans to bring about positive change.

  • Encourage patients and their carers to actively engage in the quality programme., Work with Clinical Directors, Medical Teams, Nursing Teams, Management and Administrative staff to deliver an effective quality management programme regarding statutory requirements of JACIE and HTA and the systems of accreditation and regulation within UHS and the satellite units.

  • To lead on regulatory compliance, accreditation, registration, or licensure with HTA and JACIE.

  • To support effective network arrangements about JACIE, which are embedded in the constituent organisations.

  • To manage and maintain credibility with all the key players within the Network UHS BMT community fostering a culture of collaboration for the delivery of a robust quality management programme in relation to JACIE. At times this will include acting as an 'honest broker' reconciling conflicting views and interests.

  • To understand, communicate and implement JACIE standards and the Quality plan through network improvement activities. To establish and maintain highly effective communication routes in line with the needs of the diverse range of stakeholders within the JACIE quality programme and its satellite units.

  • To foster a culture of clinical engagement and influence ensuring improvement initiatives are led and managed throughout the quality programme.

  • To encourage patients and their carers to actively engage in the quality programme.

  • To ensure links and collaboration between the hub and satellite units where there are synergies in pathways.

  • To oversee team members to deliver requirements for JACIE and HTA compliance, to support the delivery of day-to-day activities and projects.

  • To follow up on external inspections and verify completion of corrective action as required by the reports of the inspectors.

  • Interpreting and assessing the relevance of national policy and guidance about JACIE and HTA.

  • Liaise with Divisional/corporate leads to agree and achieve deliverables as appropriate.

  • Analyse complex information from complaints, claims, incident investigations (including serious incident investigations), audits and working with performance and contracting colleagues to establish appropriate action plans to bring about positive change.

  • Triangulation of information from incidents, complaints, and claims. Provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports triangulating the information and data from clinical governance activity about the BMTCT programme.

    Previous experience working in haematology or BMT.

  • Previous experience in managing accreditation visits.

  • Previous experience using document control systems.

  • Organisational skills and ability to supervise the processing of large workloads
