Janitor

As an adept multitasking, problem-solving, and safety-promoting Janitor for Universities by Sodexo in Uni of Greenwich, London. Your expertise will be vital in helping us enhance operational excellence by identifying areas / components that require repair or replacement. What you'll do:

• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of school premises, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and outdoor areas.


• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.


• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance work as needed.


• Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, and notify the administrator when replenishment is needed.


• Assist with the setup and breakdown of school events and activities.


• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.


• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.


• Collaborate with other school staff to facilitate a clean and orderly environment.
  
  Previous janitorial or custodial experience, particularly in a school setting, is a plus.


• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.


• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards students and staff.


• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
