Over the course of the year, you'll be involved in a broad range of mechanical engineering tasks, such as:

  • Concept generation
  • 3D and 2D CAD Design
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Mathematical modelling and analysis
  • Prototype creation, testing, and reporting findings to the Technical Lead and Project Manager
  • Test rig programming
  • Component and assembly testing
  • Generating presentation materials and technical reports

  • A demonstrable interest in healthcare and medical products
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant engineering degree program (preferably in the 2nd or 3rd year), Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or similar
  • Strong technical aptitude and research skills
  • Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with 3D and 2D CAD software, particularly Solidworks
  • Medical or healthcare modules forming part of degree
  • Knowledge of medical device design principles
  • Computational fluid dynamics
  • Finite element analysis (ideally using ANSYS)
  • Mathematical modelling (e.g., using Mathcad, MATLAB, Excel)

    Team Consulting is excited to announce a one-year Mechanical Engineering Internship for 2025. Our team specialises in developing innovative and award-winning medical devices across various sectors including drug delivery, MedTech, diagnostics, surgical, and digital health.
  • You'll tackle real world projects that will be presented to our clients, and you'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to a variety of medical device development projects. Working within the Mechanical Engineering group, you will be supported and developed during your internship.
