Full Job Description

The JobBox Delivery Team are committed to supporting local people to find employment and training leading to sustained employment. We provide high quality support including coaching, and mentoring, enabling progression into positive outcomes. The team offer a drop-in service from Southwater Library, where we offer impartial advice and guidance to both job seekers and those looking to make career progression. Officers manage a caseload of job seekers who may need additional support providing interventions on a one-to-one or group basis to address barriers and positive progression to agreed job/career goals. One-to-one meetings are based on reviewing and updating action plans to focus on routes into education, training and into employment, and generally take place in the community. Currently the team are working closely with our local college with a DFE funded pilot to support young people into a Supported Internships. We work closely with local employers to develop relationships and source work placements/job trials and paid employment. Applicants will need to be motivated and resilient. They will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage with a wide range of people who may have barriers to work which could include long term health conditions and disabilities. You will need to be both flexible and creative in your approach to customers. Officers will be meeting with local employers and an awareness of some of the recruitment issues they face would be advantageous.
