Full Job Description

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

  • experienced in supporting young people in Post 16 educational settings - and can bring their knowledge/approaches to working to KT&A

  • able to work independently and as part of a team

  • understanding about safety being paramount for young people

  • flexible and adaptive to the different needs of young people

  • Willing to work towards the Qualification for Supported employment and systematic instruction

    A significant part of the working week will be spent in different settings across the area so the ability to travel across the area in a timely and flexible manner is essential.

    Kent Training and Apprenticeships (KT&A) supports young people in Kent to achieve in education and to be able to go forward to contribute positively to their communities now and in the future. We are a diverse and rapidly developing organisation working across the whole county supporting young people from the ages of 16 - 18 years (up to 25 with an EHCP).
