Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a job coach to work with us from the start of the new term in September 2024. The start date will be Monday, 9th September 2024.

This will be a fixed term contract initial for 3-months but we have a proven track record of retaining staff on longer contracts subject to performance and suitability.

You will be working full time (35 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

You will be supporting a cohort of candidates (Neets) who will be placed with employers in Liverpool. You will firstly help develop the relationship with the respective employers, creating candidate profiles and then you will provide remote support for the candidates when they are in their work placements. You will have a high degree of autonomy in this role with the objective of helping the candidates be the best version of themselves when in employment to hopefully secure them long term, meaningful and paid employment.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar role. You will have a passion for working with students with SEN/SEMH who require additional support and attention to help them overcome their own individual challenges. You will have a tolerance and understanding to nurture the candidates so they can work to their strengths and develop those areas where they need additional support. You will have the ability to work with autonomy in a professional manner at all times. You will be reliable and punctual - the students/candidates will always depend on you for this.

This is a very exciting, rewarding and fulfilling role.

Your hourly rate will be £16.00. You will be paid weekly (PAYE).

You must have an update to date (on the Update Service) and clear DBS. If you do not have a DBS, we can assist you with securing one.

Ideally you will be able to drive and have access to a car as there will be times you have to move between sites and employers.

Red Apple Education are delighted to announce their sponsorship of Mollie Parker for the forthcoming season.
Mollie is the captain of the Warrington Wolves Ladies u19s team and we are very proud to be associated with her and to be able to support her during the new season.
Warrington Wolves Ladies Team started last year from scratch and Mollie managed to get a position in the squad. The team won the Championship Grand Final and have been promoted to Super League. This year Wolves decided to run an u19 team and Mollie was asked to be captain. She can still play for the full ladies' team if needed however she was wanted to play regular rugby for the u19s.
The recognition Mollie has received by the club and her peers and the progress she has made since joining them has been outstanding.
Mollie herself is 18 and due to start at Lancaster University in September doing English Literature.
We spoke with Mollie during the finalisation of the sponsorship and we first asked her to provide a summary of her position in the team:
"The number on my jersey is number 9, which indicates that I play the position of 'Hooker' where I pick the ball up from the play-the-ball after a tackle to begin the play. Therefore, together with the two half backs and the fullback, the hooker is one of the four key positions that make up what is sometimes called a team's 'spine'.
Commenting on her progression to captaincy and the additional responsibilities she has now assumed, Mollie stated:
"Before I was made captain, I learned a lot last season on the open age team about team morale, motivation and communication. Coming into the team, it was refreshing to see that there were not any cliques which would have divided the players. Therefore, we were able to easily motivate and communicate with each other both on and off the pitch. This is one of the most important aspects which I wanted to bring to the newly formed under 19s team this season. This is because, no one would second guess asking any other player to explain a certain move or technique that they wanted to improve. Thus, such a welcoming environment allowed us to help each other build on specific skills which we individually wanted to develop."
Mollie also provided an insight into the normal match day experience:
"On match days, I would lead the warm-up and try to ensure that everyone is in the right mindset going into the pitch. Additionally, while on the pitch I would aim to keep a level head so that I can focus on both our personal and team goals. Together, these two factors mean that there is no infighting between players when we are in pressurised situations because that will never help you win the game, only increase the frustration and tension between players. Therefore, by doing this, I hope to make playing for the Warrington Wolves even more enjoyable."
