Full Job Description

Our Supported Learning Department is looking to recruit a term time only Job Coach to work with both individuals and small groups of learners to support and facilitate student's learning, success and progress at work. The learners that you will be working with may have mild or complex learning difficulties or disabilities, autism, health/medical or other support needs. The role also includes engaging with and supporting employers to source and set up new placements and ensure that appropriate health and safety, safeguarding and monitoring processes are in place.
In this extremely rewarding role, you will provide high quality and appropriately targeted support to enable learners to successfully engage with work placements, carry out tasks at work and develop their independence and ability to progress to work in future. To help you achieve this, you will be working as part of a hardworking, passionate and supportive team that is committed to providing the best for our learners to enable them to achieve their potential., All roles are term time only, which means you will work for 38 weeks in the year. We are happy to receive both part-time and full-time applications but due to the nature of the role can only accept applications for a minimum of three days a week. These roles are currently based at our Lewisham Way Campus but involve travelling around London.

The successful candidates will have sound literacy and numeracy skills (Level 2 achievement/ability in English and Maths), competent IT skills and be willing to undertake regular CPD. Experience of working with and supporting special needs learners, a proven ability of building good relationships, professionalism, excellent communication skills and the ability to take the initiative are essential., Disability Confident
