Full Job Description

A Horizon Europe funded Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position is available at the Department of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine and the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science (LCCS) at the University of Liverpool. You will join an ambitious EU-wide collaboration (ARISTOTELES: Artificial intelligence to define clinical trajectories for personalised prediction and early detection of comorbidity and multimorbidity patterns, https://aristoteles-horizon.eu/ [aristoteles-horizon.eu]) developing novel artificial intelligence (AI) powered tools to assess and manage multimorbidity in patients with atrial fibrillation. This is a unique opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment at the interface of social science, AI, and clinical translation. You will join Professor Deirdre Lane's group working on exploring patient, healthcare provider and other stakeholders' views, understanding, acceptability and engagement with the use of AI for healthcare and

potential barriers and facilitators of implementation in practice, using quantitative and qualitative methodology. In addition, using co-production methodology, you will help to co-produce the interfaces of the web-based AI tools used to support clinical decisions and examine their implementation in clinical practice. You will also be given the opportunity to contribute to teaching and engage with career development opportunities. You should have a PhD in a relevant discipline. The post is available for 44 months with an expected start date of 1 November 2024., PhD or equivalent

If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
