MMP Consultancy is seeking a Senior Development Surveyor on behalf of a local authority based in Nottingham. In this role, you will drive the Council's asset management and property development initiatives, including valuation, disposal, and rationalisation activities. You'll be instrumental in maximising value across projects, ensuring efficient use of assets, and supporting the Council's broader regeneration aims.,

  • Lead the development, valuation, and disposal of assets within a designated portfolio to maximise value and support Council objectives.
  • Responsible for delivering agreed financial targets through property management and asset disposals.

This role is central to managing the Council's commercial property assets and contributing to the Council's annual asset valuation programme.
  • The ideal candidate will drive the ongoing review and rationalisation of the commercial portfolio, progressing property disposals from inception to completion, and ensuring best practices and continuous improvement across all projects.,
  • Provide specialised advice in property development, commercial negotiation, and valuation, handling complex cases and setting a high standard for the team.
  • Lead and manage a team of professional surveyors, overseeing their development, performance, health and safety, and welfare.
