Full Job Description

At the University of Bradford, our focus is on creating the conditions for social, cultural, and economic impact. We are committed to social inclusion. Our work to expand opportunity and enable students to reach their potential, has led to us topping the Social Mobility Index of English universities for the last two years. Our University Strategy sets out our ambitions for 2025, which we will achieve by using our proud heritage as a springboard and remaining steadfast in our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Safeguarding
The University of Bradford is committed to safeguarding, protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and Adults at Risk through robust safer recruitment practices.
Directorate
Theatre in the Mill is a liminal space situated between world class research at the University of Bradford and the reality of inner-city deprivations. We explore this 'in-between space ', this liminality through arts-based research methods, navigating our chaotic world and embodying possible futures. The community we have is of the global majority and its intersections; we are ever-evolving brave critics with diverse perspectives. Together we create space for affective and challenging performance because we believe radical work creates conversation and dialogue. Theatre in the Mill is an ongoing happening, a verb creating an ongoing buzz. As a team we support artists to develop new work that is multi-modal, alongside nurturing the creativity of students and supporting students and academics through creative adventures.
What you will be doing:
# You will support artists in developing new multi-modal work and presenting it in our Studio space or Gallery II. This includes, theatre, installations and mixed media that uses creative tech.
# You will take a lead on the technical aspects of venue management of our various spaces
# You will develop your skills in the use of creative technology with live performance.

# H.E. diploma in technical skills relating to arts production or relevant professional experience.
# Relevant and equivalent work experience in areas of technical venue management

At the University of Bradford, we recognise and embrace people that work in diverse ways so if you need any adjustments to our recruitment process, please speak to the recruitment team who will be happy to support you.
In Return we Offer:
# 25 days holiday (Grade 8) and 13 statutory and customary days (taken at Easter and Christmas).
# Family-friendly policies
# Great campus facilities
# Generous employer contribution pension schemes - Universities Superannuation Scheme
# Generous benefit schemes, including car leasing, cycle to work, holiday purchase, home & technology scheme and shopping discounts
